Let me start by telling you how extremely hard it is to write 12 posts in a row. It’s impossible. But it’s something I started a few years back and I’ve always gotten such great feedback from it, I decided to stick with it! Again, it’s really hard. Just saying.
Anyway, after thinking about what to put in here I can’t believe I never posted part 2 of the fabulous wedding of Katie and Mike. But here it is! What a great day this was. I have to say I’m always a bit nervous when I don’t do engagement sessions before hand. It does take people a bit of time to warm up to the camera. But these two were naturals from the start. Their wedding at Fourth Presbyterian was wonderful, and we definitely took advantage of the courtyard following their ceremony. After that around town we went. It was nothing but blue skies and sun that day. We headed over to the Hyatt Lodge for their reception and they played a really cute game with Katie’s parents. Look at the second to last photo for the set up. But basically each couple sat back to back, so girls on one side, backed up to their husbands. Each couple had one of their own shoes, and one of their partners shoes. The game was to see how well each couple knew each other. So it was couple vs. couple. The DJ would ask a question, and they had to hold up either their own shoe if it sounded more like them, or their spouses shoe. To get the answer right, you both had to hold up the same shoe. It got pretty funny. Obviously Katie’s parents had a slight advantage since they have been married much longer, but Katie and Mike held their own, it was a close game!
It was a fun night, and I couldn’t been happier to spend the day with these two, their families, and friends. Thanks again guys!
