Day 5 of the 12 Days of Blogging :: Meghan and Michael :: Chicago Engagement Photographer

I was so excited to photograph Meghan and Michael for their engagement session.  I actually met them at a bridal show, and we hit it off immediately.  I was really excited when they decided to go with me for their wedding day, I just know it’s going to be a ton of fun!  Their wedding is going to be at the Hyatt Lodge in Oak Brook, one of my all time favorite places for weddings in the burbs.  They are great to work with, their food is amazing, their grounds are beautiful to photograph, and they bring burgers out late at night…what’s not to love?

So we decided to do their engagement session in the city since we won’t be making it there on their wedding day.  I’ve been dying to photograph in The Garden of the Phoenix, formally known as Osaka Garden.  However, I could never find it!  When I showed photos to them, they were hooked too, so we set out for it.  The backdrop is the Museum of Science and Industry, how cool is that?  I loved it so much, I think I’m taking my kids there just to picnic…..when it’s warmer out of course!

Meghan and Michael were great sports and we had such a great time.  We ended the session on Michigan Avenue, where he had proposed.  ( I KNOW!!!)  We got this great moment of them holding hands and laughing.  Enjoy the photos!  We also did a great little Save the Date/Holiday card.  Still loving this one!  And since our site was down for part of the day yesterday, we will doing 2 posts to catch up tomorrow!  Stay tuned!
