Welcome to Day 8! I’ve been waiting to blog about this since Monday. A few weeks ago, Heather from Greatest Expectations asked if I wouldn’t mind documenting some of the finest Chicago event planners picking up food items from a wedding industry food drive. How could I say no! So on Monday morning, I met Heather from Greatest Expectations, Beth from SQN Events, and Ali from Engaging Events by Ali to start the tour of pick up. Our first location was Fleur, and leave it to Kelly to have this beautiful basket showcasing the food. She made even food drive goods look great in her shop! Santa’s helpers grabbed all the goods and then we headed out to Bleeding Heart Bakery. Michelle met us there, and of course, we had to grab a bite to eat. You can’t stop in there without trying something….except for me. This year I decided to go on a diet before the holidays, that way all the crap I eat during the holidays will hopefully just put me back at even. Wishful thinking I guess, however now I can’t stop thinking about all the yummies I saw in there. After there we set out to The Left Bank, where Susan was waiting for us. It was so funny, everywhere we went, Ali was buying gifts for the holidays. This stop was no different. After there, we headed to see Kara at Magnificent Milestones. Kara just cracked me up, before I could even fire a shot off, she peeked out and said, no photos, I was out late last night! So the only photo I have of her, she is wearing a Santa’s hat, and her and Heather are laughing b/c I had to take my photo from super far away, so basically you can’t really tell it’s her, but believe me, it is! Lastly, we headed to Smitten Boutique where Kirsten met us, with her little one! We grabbed the goods from there, and headed to the Chicago Food Depository. We had collected so much from the stores, they had to bring out a cart to collect. Yah! Finally, we had a guy from the food bank take a photo, with me included! Also thanks to Bella Bianca for participating, I know we weren’t able to pick up from there in the photos, and also thanks to Peggy from Erickson Design for making the flyers and email blast. Thanks ladies for a wonderful morning! I loved helping out, and hopefully we’ll be able to do this again next year. Enjoy the photos!
