lisa and adam :: the day :: chicago wedding photographer

Well this post is overdue!  Lisa and Adam were married, and I was so honored they chose me for their photographer.  We did their engagement session in the beginning of winter, and I have to say it was probably the coldest e-session I’ve ever done.  But they were troopers and we marched all around downtown Chicago and got some great shots with the twinkling holiday lights in the background.  Well, mother nature didn’t want to disappoint on their wedding day.  The night before it rained not only cats and dogs, but sheep, cows, and everything else.  We had record rain that night, and roads were shut down everywhere.  I literally must have rerouted 4 times because as soon as I drove onto one road, part of that road was flooded, and then they would reroute me again.  I290 was actually shut down that Saturday, just to give you an idea how crazy it was.  So EVERY road was jam packed with cars galore.  So you would say it wasn’t easy getting around.  But every wedding  I shoot pretty much has some sort of quirk, bizarre happening, (or sometimes the lack of something happening 🙂 which makes every one of them unique.  And hopefully they can look back and be able to tell their kids someday how crazy the weather was!  Regardless of the weather from the night before and the flooding the day of, the weather was beautiful.   A little mugginess never hurt anyone, right?  Here are some of my fav’s from the day.  I’ll be posting more of their details and some great moment shots.  And here is the list of all the fabulous vendors from their wedding:

Dettagli Weddings (Event Planner)

Instincts Design Studio (Florist)

MDM Lighting (Specialty Lighting)

DJ Chicago (DJ)

Creative Cakes (Cake)

Poetic Productions (Videographer)

Entourage Salon (Hair/Makeup)

Olympia Fields Country Club (Reception/Venue)
