Sarah and Brian’s wedding was one for the books! I had been looking forward to this wedding ever since they told me part of the engagement session they wanted to wake board! If you don’t remember it, click HERE to view it. I have never seen two people so stress free and ready to tie the knot like these two. Usually I see some jitters, but I really felt so much calmness from everyone. It probably helped that she left all the details of the day in good hands, because we had the pleasure to work with Tiffany and staff from Soirée Weddings and Events.
Everyone got ready at The Drake Hotel, headed to Holy Name Cathedral, then back to The Drake Hotel for all the festivities. But before everything got started, Sarah and Brian decided to see each other before hand to get some scenic photos done. It’s not something I push on any of my couples, but it’s always a great option when your ceremony and reception are close to one another. We still try to make it special, and by the photos, you can tell both Sarah and Brian were definitely emotional. But what’s even more of a testament to them and how great of people they are, there were several members of the bridal party that was also blown away with emotions. It sorta gives you the goosebumps when you’re seeing that from several people.
Sarah’s dress was from Vera Wang and shoes from Jimmy Choo. They were gorgeous and exactly what I’d picture her in. The lovely bouquet she is holding is from the wonderful Alexandra from Exquisite Designs. She definitely has a signature look to her flowers, and I can always tell when a client has used her for their wedding, they were beautiful!
Photos were at the Kinzie Street Bridge, Michigan Avenue, and outside the Wrigley Building. We even stopped at a firehouse to grab some photos, and the guys there were more than accommodating on getting the scene set for us. How awesome was that!
Well, this is part 1 of what’s to come. I’ll share more this weekend from the ceremony and reception!
